These are the new Feyenoord home and away centenary football shirts for 2008. The shirts are made by kappa to celebrate the club's 100th birthday.
Wim Jansen and Rinus Israel received the shirts from general manager Eric Gudde, which gave this event a historical touch. Jansen and Israel won the 1970 Europe Cup 1 against Celtic in a shirt that was used as inspiration for the centenary shirts.
The away shirt of 1970 has many similarities with the new Feyenoord shirt for the upcoming season. The green colour and white collar were inspired by the creation of the past. Both shirts have a golden embroidered Fyenoord logo, which is a tradition restored in honor, and the wish of many supporters.
