HSV officially introduced their shirts for the 2007/08 season at the adidas Performance Store in Mönckebergstraße in Hamburg. Nigel de Jong, Juan Pablo Sorin and David Jarolim presented home and away shirts as well as the jerseys especially made for European competition:
"I really like them, they remind me a little of HSV shirts from days gone by", smiled the Holland international Nigel de Jong at the presentation.
Head coach Huub Stevens, who attended the presentation with the HSV boss Bernd Hofmann and sport director Dietmar Beiersdorfer was impressed: "It is a shirt to be proud of. I am sure that the players will enjoy wearing them", said the Dutchman.

Even Uwe Seeler couldn't hide his delight: "They look really nice, they have a lot of style", enthused the HSV legend. The sale of the new shirts at the HSV fan shops began at the same time as the presentation at the adidas store.
