This is the new Chelsea away kit for the 2007/08 season.
When the concept for the kit was discussed with the board and the players, the overriding theme was to develop a kit that matched the ambitions of the club.
Chelsea has a great tradition of wearing yellow and we wanted to push the barriers by introducing a new twist on the traditional shade.

About the shirt
The new Chelsea away kit comprises all the latest fabric technologies that will help to give the players a competitive edge on the field of play.
What if apparel could provide more than just simple coverage and protection? What if it could be designed around the way your body works, to improve your body's natural movement? What if was so comfortable to wear it practically became a part of you?
The new ChelseaFC kit is designed with this in mind and takes in two key apparel technologies:
- ForMotion tailors the kit to meet the unique player movements within the game of football.
- ForMotion™ apparel is three-dimensionally engineered to move naturally with the player's body. Realizing the shortcomings of traditional two-dimensional apparel, adidas created ForMotion™ to follow every curve of the player's body and mimic the natural movements that occur during 90 minutes for a better fit and greater comfort.
- ClimaCool® isn't just another moisture-wicking fabric. It is an integrated system of technologies that work together to regulate the athlete's body temperature far better than any single fabric technology can. ClimaCool® apparel actively conducts heat and sweat away from the body through a combination of heat and moisture-dissipating materials, ventilation channels and three-dimensional fabrics that allow air to circulate close to the skin.
- By mapping the body's critical heat and sweat zones using infrared cameras, designers are able to place these technologies exactly where they are needed to optimise the athlete's body temperature. An athlete can actually stay cooler in ClimaCool® apparel than they can in bare skin.
