Rushden & Diamonds 07/08 3rd Macron football kit

Rushden & Diamonds first game of the 2007/08 Blue Square Premier season at Woking sees the return of a Yellow Kit, as the players wear their new 3rd choice strip for the first time.

Woking play in Red and White, meaning neither Rushden's White Home Kit nor their Red Away Kit can be worn for this fixture.

Simeon Jackson, who recently signed a new contract to keep him at Rushden & Diamonds until 2010 is pictured modeling the All Yellow 3rd kit at Nene Park.

The 2007/08 3rd Kit by Macron is the fourth yellow kit to be worn by the Diamonds, with 3 previous designs, made by Olympic Sports, Fila and Errea worn as an away kit between 1998 and 2004, then being relegated to the occasional outing as a 3rd strip for the 2004/05 season and replaced by Blue for the 2005/06 season.

Rushden and Diamonds were formed in 1992 by Max Griggs, the owner of the Dr Martens shoe company who bought two non-league clubs (Rushden Town and Irthlingborough Diamonds) and merged them to form a team that would compete in the Southern (Beazer Homes) League Division One and play its home games at Nene Park in Irthlingborough in Northamptonshire. Rushden Town was formed in 1889 and were known as 'The Russians'.
