The new Swindon Town home shirts for the 2008/09 season finally went on sale at the Club Shop on Thursday morning.

Queues began to form around 9am with great interest ahead of the launch of the new home shirts, which are sponsored by FourFourTwo.

Town legend Don Rogers joined Chief Executive, Nick Watkins, in welcoming supporters into the refurbished shop.

2008/09 home and away shorts are also now on sale in addition to the initial batch of 950 home shirts.

Town fans are were left waiting for their new home shirts for reasons well beyond the control of the Club, with a delay in receiving the 2008/09 replica shirts.

Swindon Town Chief Executive Nick Watkins said:

"We have been promised an early consignment of 950 shirts from Lotto which were due over a week ago but as yet they have not arrived in the UK. A combination of typhoons, delays with Chinese customs and the Olympic games would appeared to have conspired against us receiving the shirts in time.”

Wonder why the Lotto badge seem to stick out like it is sticked on.

Looks like FourFourTwo mag earns loads to sponsor a team or is it because they arnt doing so well?

Delay with chinese customs, hmm ... ..., made in china?

the same with lots of kit manufacturers, they\'re made cheaply in the far east.

the away kit is even nicer, i really like this kit.

the Fourfourtwo sponsorship is quite good too, there will be stuff about swindon in every months magazine, they\'re like the pet club in a way. a good way to get the clubs name out and about.

Not bad :-)

Good looking kit, straight and to the point. Affiliating themselves with 442 can only help Swindon, excellent marketing strategy imo.
