2008 is a special year for Bohs, with three victory anniversaries to celebrate – the Irish Challenge Cup in 1908, the all-conquering quadruple achievement of 1928, and the League in 1978. To celebrate the centenary of the club's first national trophy, the 1908 Irish Cup,
Umbro have agreed to produce a special collector's edition jersey, based on the kit worn by the 1908 team (pictured). However, Bohemians are asking fans if they are interested, as production depends on there being sufficient demand.
Another interesting development is the fact that Umbro went into discussion on the bohemian FC forum about their latest yellow away kit, the future Bohemian fc designs, release dates, Umbro's position within Irish football and a lot more.

"since we concluded the 4 year deal with Bohs I have been keeping an interested eye on the discussion board and I gotta say its both informative and reassuring to see so many devoted fans keeping the LOI flag flying. I just want to give you all a little back ground info on kits etc and clear up a few things that have been mentioned. I think I should start with the new kits, I agree with the majority of comments that the White should be the Away rather than the Yellow one, infact we didnt even submit a yellow kit sample, the original line was black/red home the White away and 3rd to be sky/navy, the club shelved the idea of ther sky in favour of a yellow jersey. That said I do think its a nice shirt, its based on the Swedish international kit and when you see it on thr tweam Im sure/hope alot of you will change your minds. With regard to the launch dates for the kits, the home shirt will be available from May (somebody mentioned that the Cork deal was announced around the same time and they had shirts for sale but just to inform you we were also in talks at one stage with Cork and that was back in April 07, they chose to announce the deal a long time after it was agreed so they took the same amount of time to produce as the Bohs kits). The away and 3rd will be launched around July time and there will be home infants kits available then too. We produce all our kits in the same factory in China so the Bohs shirts are made along side Ireland, England, Lyon etc etc so they are always of the highest quality standards and all factorys are compliant with all social requirements on labour laws, we are a fair trade company and have our factorys independantly checked on a regular spot check basis. I am in charge of all designs for Ireland and if anybody want to put any suggestions my way I will certainly consider them. I really hope that you guys are happy with Umbro being your club partner, we will do our best to product exciting product for the club over the coming years and as I said Ill take the fans opinions on board and come back to you when I can."
"As I previously mentioned I understand that everyone has their opinion on jersey styles and designs, in fairness if I got 20 people in to discuss the kits we would end up with 20 different requests. However, what is quite obvious is that for the next home kit the vast majority of posters would like less white. I can give you an undertaking that this will happen. Obviously the next home will not be for approx 2 years. In the mean time I think that when you see and handle the kits you will be (in general) happy. There are some nice touches like the club name/nickname on the backneck facing. "
"Many people have mentioned the back of the kit being full black, (the lower third is striped red/black) the reason for this is because you cannot have stripes, hoops or halves on the back of your kit for European games, watch Celtic shirts in CL tomorrow and the backs will be plain white (for clarity of numbers to referees and media). So that leaves us with a numbers issue, the minimum order quantity versus the replica sales simply for Bohs does not justify having 2 versions of the home kit (one for Europe and on for domestic football). I appreciate that alot of people would not be aware of this but FIFA/UEFA love coming up with odd rules every now and then that can make things more complicated then they need to be. "
