Huddersfield Town Mitre 08/09 Centenary Shirt vote

Huddersfield revealed the three choices for next season's Centenary home shirt! Fans were able to decide which one of the three kit designs , produced by manufacturer Mitre, will be used for the 2008/09 season.

The first kit features a thin royal blue stripe as well as a longer collar than the current home shirt, with the gold outlining giving a modern twist on a shirt that generally has a classical look. This shirt has been selected for the shortlist as it gives an alternative option to the other blue and white option.

The second choice features wider stripes and a paler colour known as Centenary blue, as all of the pre-war home shirts featured a lighter shade of blue than more recent kits. Also incorporating gold trim to signify the Centenary year, the shirt is very similar to what is believed to be the first blue and white striped shirt that was ever worn by Huddersfield Town in the 1913/14 season

The third kit is markedly different from the first two choices, moving away from Town's traditional blue and white stripes and back to the original red shirt - first worn by the famous 'Scarlet Runners' team in the 1908/09 season before the Terriers switched to Blue, White and then eventually the Blue & White stripes!

All three shirts were situated in the Stadium Superstore and were paraded around the pitch during half-time the game against Gillingham at the Galpharm Stadium. Huddersfield Town encourages all fans to come down and look at the three kits in person, as the pictures really don't do them justice! Votes were taken until 20th of january, with the winning kit being revealed before the start of next season.

I reckon that red shirt will end up being the away kit anyway. Though it\'s not uncommon for teams to revert to a different colour scheme for the home kit for a centenary season - Rochdale have done this season, and clubs like Mansfield and Palace have in the past.

I reckon shirt A will edge it
