We made a trip to the city of Zwolle to visit the Jaap Stam Testimonial match yesterday which turned out to be a very nice, but wet event.
Jaap Stam played his testimonial match in the FC Zwolle stadium and a number of big names from Dutch football were there: Stam’s Star-team (The Holland WC 98 Team) played Ajax, coached by Marco van Basten, while the 98-star team was coached by Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti.
The Jaap Stam team, with Frank de Boer, Ronald de Boer, Michael reiziger, Wim Jonk, Philip Cocu, Clarence Seedorf, Patrick Kluivert, Dennis Bergkamp, Aron Winter, Marc Overmars, Edgar Davids paid their respect to Stam with a 3-3 result.
