Tradition meets function in Djurgården new 2008/2009 kits that has been designed by adidas in near cooperation with the club. The new kits have a more traditional design - narrower borders and lighter tints. On the collar in the back it says "Stockholms stolthet" (Stockholm's pride) embroidered in gold.
"The starting point for us in the development work has been tradition meets function. To create a shirt that both players and supporters can feel proud in when wearing them - without loosing its functionality" says Jonas's Carlström, Swedish sponsoring manager of adidas.
"The kit is an important part of our identity. Therefore, the new shirts have to be developed in near cooperation between us and adidas in order to get the correct feeling of a classic Djurgården outfit", says Jenny Furtenbach, CEO Djurgården football sale Ltd.
