New Preston North End 08/09 home Diadora kit

Preston North End have unveiled their new home kit for the 2008/09 season made by Diadora.

The kit designed by diadora has retained many of the traditional elements of Preston North End shirts from years gone by, including an all-lilywite shirt and a return of the hooped socks. The kit will be on general sale from Saturday 14th June 9am.

Diadora, the Italian sportswear manufacturer who's 60th anniversary it is this year has given the influence to creating a modern retro concept, from this they have designed the silhouette that stands up to the tests of the modern game incorporating technical fabrics and anatomically positioned mesh panels for style and function.

This season's kit has been designed with a strong international feel which uses the influences and history of Preston North End FC, returning to a classic look for the home kit incorporating clean lines and functionality of fabric positioning. The shirt is considerably lighter than last year thus enabling less drag, ease of movement & increased performance. Main body fabric is durable but with a soft handle for maximum comfort, the material has wicking properties to transport any moisture away from the body quicker than previous fabrics used. Mesh ventilation panels help to regulate a player's temperature.

Kit prices are as follows: Adults - Short Sleeve GBP 39.99, long sleeve GBP 44.99, Ladies - Short Sleeve GBP 39.99, Juniors - Short Sleeve GBP 29.99

I think that this shirt must be Diadora\'s worst ever and i think that they should try for a better sponsor for example DUREX or VASALINE!

I think that any of these 2 sponsors would be better!

looks like a Valencia shirt. Not bad at all. Is that what the new Scotland shirts will be like then? Wish we would sign with a bigger brand.

I like it, simple, so you don\'t just blast out in a crowd, not too showy but anyone looking will know your team :-). Plus, you have to love the PNE badge.

I personally do like it, it reminds me of the Liverpool Reebok away shirt from the mid 90s. New Nike, Adidas and Puma shirts are similar anyway...

Don\'t like it personally. Many might do though as retro is a very good thing in football.
