Watford 08/09 home away GK Diadora kits

These are the new Watford home and away kits for the 08/09 season made by Diadora and the goalkeepers shirts. The club was founded in 1881, first playing at Cassio Road ground, before moving to Vicarage Road in 1922, where they remain to this day.

The club has the nickame of The Hornets due to its yellow and black strip. The first mention of the club's colours dates from 1888, when they wore blue shirts.

Over the next few seasons, press reports researched by Trefor Jones, describe their shirts as variously "olive and scarlet," "orange and yellow" and "amber and scarlet."

There is no record of how these colours were arranged but Historical kits have used artistic license to present them. It is, however, established that in November 1904, Watford played in yellow, green and red hoops.

Agree with the other comment about black sponsors logo (but not the Nike logo). Reversed colours on the sleeves would be even better, too.

Watford have ALWAYS had the worse kits in the league. The colour!!! Looks like a packet of Solvite wallpaper paste.

Yeah, I have always liked the Watford colour combinations, and the away kit is very pleasent on the eye, the away keepers is horrible ( David James would have refused to wear it!).

They look alright but they\'re nowt special, and a bit dated, especially the keeper kits - Roma wore shirts with that same type of collar in 06/07! Is it me or are Diadora\'s kits for UK teams made under licence (like with Puma) or something because they always seem to use outdated templates or something derived from an outdated template?

Prefer the current kit but a steady 3/5 for the home, away and home \'keepers kits, but the away \'keepers kit colour is terrible.
