Wigan Athletic 08/09 Away Champion football kit

Wigan Athletic already wore the new home kit for the very first time on the Austria pre-season tour on 19th July.

In addition to the new home kit a new 08/09 away shirt will be launched tomorrow with the team again due to wearing this new away kit during pre-season.

Wigan Athletic E-Squadhave been given the opportunity for a sneak preview in advance of the official launch this morning and got a first glimpse of the new Wigan Athletic away shirt for the new season.

JJB Sports Chief Executive Chris Ronnie said "It is with great pleasure that we continue our long association with Wigan Athletic. JJB Sports have signed an extensive deal with the well known and popular American and European Sports brand Champion.

The Champion brand is a New and Exclusive Sports Brand to JJB Sports and Champion products are already available within JJB Sports Stores with sales being very positive. We are looking forward to introducing the Champion brand to Wigan Athletic."

Next you will be saying they copied the badge off them!!
When they didnt, its a old badge that they have re-designed!!

And the only reason its that colour is because Wigan have a sponsor with Viz-Wear, who make hi visability jackets!!!

The badge is a style from a old bagde, which the majority of the fans wanted bringing back! I also think this kit has somthing to do with the partnership with vizwear!

I like it. It is similar to Chelsea\'s away shirt and also Barcelona\'s third shirt from a few seasons back but looks godd. These shirts are great for night games under the floodlights. You can pick out a team mate from miles away !
