York City revealed the unique purple, limited edition kit the team will be wearing for the Club’s FA Trophy Final on Saturday 9th May at the new Wembley.
The new kit modeled by Minstermen's left back, Mark Robinson, has been specially commissioned for the occasion and will have an embroidered badge on the shirt marking the FA Trophy Final.
The purple kit has been given the seal of approval by City manager, Martin Foyle, who said, “It’s a great kit and really unique. We wanted something entirely different for the Final, a real one off. Hopefully we will see some purple shirts scattered around Wembley on 9th May.”

The new purple FA Trophy Final shirt will be on sale to supporters from the Club Shop from Tuesday 7th April, when the Minstermen play Oxford at Kit Kat Crescent. The limited edition purple shirts will be £40 for adults and £33 & £35 for children’s sizes.
York City confirmed other Wembley merchandise will be available to supporters from next week and prices will start from £3. Commemorative items will include polo shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, fleeces, as well as scarves, baseball caps, mugs, rosettes, flags and giant foam hands.
Communications and Community Director, Sophie Hicks said, “The only outlet for official York City Wembley clothing and merchandise will be the York City Club Shop. On the run up to the Final we will be ensuring shop opening hours are flexible to enable supporters to visit the shop at their convenience. We would like to thank our merchandise partners, Just Sports, for working hard to make sure Wembley items are available to our fans quickly including our limited edition purple kit.”
The Club confirmed fans will also be able to buy merchandise online on the Club’s official website.
