Chelsea unveiled the 09/10 away kit which is available for pre-order today through the FSC Shop

The new adidas kit, which will be worn for the first time when Chelsea face AC Milan on 24 July during the pre-season tour, has incorporated the highest sporting technology and design standards into the shirt.

The away kit for 2009/10 uses a tonal hoop in dark navy and new navy with a neon yellow highlight for the adidas three stripes, tipping on the collar and sleeves, giving a structured, stylish finish to the shirt.

Engineered mesh in the fabric on the front of the shirt, coupled with the 3D Formotion cut allows complete freedom of movement. Waffled Climacool fabric and mesh panelling across major sweat zones will increase comfort and ensure players remain cool and dry.

The shirt also has a new collar design tipped in neon yellow, giving a 'v' neck impression with the Chelsea lion printed on the back of the neck.

FWIW they are called St Helens Rugby League Football Club. So strictly (and pedantically) speaking it is still a 'football' shirt.

Yeah, but its for football shirts. I dont like rugby league in this country, its sold its soul to sky, franchising of teams, and other reasons I dont like the sport.

having said that, this is nice for Normally awful rugby league shirts.

In my eye if it's a t-shirt/long sleeve shape I'm not bothered. At the end of the day the only difference is the brand. If we start getting Basketball or an American Football type shirts then I think we have a right to complain.
Like you MW I hate Rugby League I much prefer Union (even if it's slowly evolving into league). But even I can't see an issue with this.

Okay, just as long as nobody dares to post up a Stade Francais shirt:eek::
