General Manager Leigh Porter commented:
'I am pleased to be able to confirm that the new away strip will contain a blue and white striped shirt in the style of the club shirt worn between 1977-79. The blue and green shirt designs will stay the same as we were keen to honour our commitment to the fans to keep each shirt for two seasons, the black is being replaced.
A full range of 2009/10 training wear is currently on sale and all three full replica strips are well on target and an on sale date will be confirmed soon. The new strip will be completed by black shorts and sky blue socks,' Porter said.
Chairman Darragh MacAnthony commented: 'Having thought about the situation and the two external sponsorship offers generated by our Commercial team since we were promoted, I decided I wanted to see the MRI logo being proudly worn in the Championship. Our new kits, especially the changed away kit will look superb and I'm looking forward to seeing them when they are released.'
