I dont think any (or most) of our supporters are deluded, I was trying to convince myself as much as anyone - I know we are in a real mess. The Toon are way behind everyone in the division except maybe Sc*n*horpe United in preparing for the new season, we have no manager, no real owner, and no players who look like they could do a job in the championship except for Beye and Taylor.

Other than that, you cannot deny that things are going pretty well for the Toon:smile:

But there are 24 clubs in this division, and who would have thought Hull, Bradford, Reading or Wigan would have made it out of that divison, so we still have a chance. not much of one, but still a chance. To be honest, I would settle for mid table this season, and staying out of the third tier and not let our record of never playing in there be broken.

I thought this design was familiar-it is similar to one they had back in 2004 I believe when Bobby Robson was still at the helm (and Newcastle were actually a Champions League contender), I quite like this one although in my mind maybe there's too much white-if that makes sense and perhaps if the sponsor logo were in the blue on the collar it would be a better fit. But that's me and I can't argue with the brilliance of Zoran :cool:

In all it's a very nice design, and although I am a Chelsea supporter I'-) like to see the Toon back in the Premier League. I fondly recall back in the day they played some enthralling, attacking football and really pushed Man Utd to the wire; it's a shame to see them fall into such a pathetic state and I think their fans (who are diehard) deserve something to celebrate.

Oh yeah, and the championship badges - we wont be wearing them next season!!
