Norwegian club Vålerenga IF got their new 2011 football kits today. Adidas takes over as shirt-supplier for Vålerenga Football till 2015 and replaces Kappa. At the same time, it is clear that (the Bank) Nordea will be the new sponsor. In 2010 it was (enegry supplier) Hafslund who paid to have its name on the blue shirt. The deal with Nordea will last for 4 years.
Up to 1913, Vålerenga's kit was moss green ("VIFs Drakter"). In 1914, the Norwegian State Railways had a set of blue and red kits left over, which Vålerenga bought cheaply, so their official colours became blue and red.
