I don't know if that kind of mega league would be possible. But I would definately support that kind of expansion the MLS needs more rivalry to make things more interesting.

I think the USA is at the moment a bit too big for one national league, having three leagues would mean lower travel costs and running costs for teams, more competition and more local rivals too. It would be more or less like the state championships in Brazil before the establishment of a national league in 1970. 34 games in the regional leagues, then a playoff too.

So basically a NFL style system then :D:

I wouldn't mind seeing that but would make it vastly different to all the other leagues in the world and I don't think FIFA would approve too much of that.

Im all for bringing back the New Jersey Metrostars, and a few other teams. I think that perhaps there should be regional leagues, such as a western league(Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Vancouver and 14 other teams) central (Chicago, Dallas, Houston, KC, Colorado and 13 other teams) and an Eastern division (18 teams) and the winners of each league get crowned champions (obviously) plus enterance to the Copa Libertadores, then the top three/ four teams take part in a playoff to be crowned champions of the US. That would be some league

I think in time the MLS will get up to a 18/20 team league and bring back a couple of those teams as well as Cosmos for a nice NY derby game.

Yeah.. I miss Miami Fusion too..
and not to forget; tampa bay mutiny..

I'-) prefer a return of the Fusion but RedBull really need to keep their noses out of football and stop destroying the history of established teams and for that reason I would like to see the return of the Metrostars too.
