Fiorentina 13/14 Joma Europa League Home and Away Football Shirts

Fiorentina and Joma have unveiled new versions of their 2013-14 Home and Away shirts for the Florence-based club's Uefa Europa League campaign.

On these modified shirts, the domestic versions' club emblems on the shoulders are removed - owing to Uefa restrictions on club insignia - and replaced with extra golden trim and features and an Italian flag just below the collar on the back.

The domestic sponsor, Mazda, does not appear, though Save The Children - the charitable partner - is placed below the number on the back on the players' shirts.

There is no Third shirt equivalent - the domestic/Serie A version has greater gold trim than the Home and Away counterparts and was produced in line with rules on European competition.

Seems rather pathetic that UEFA has so many rules concerning the way in which a club celebrates its' footballing history/legacy.

You would have thought that Joma would have saved time, effort and money by making a kit that falls in line with the rules from the very beginning.

Either way all seems rather silly to me.
