West Ham United unveiled the Club’s new Adidas away kit for the 2013/14 Barclays Premier League season, which will be available here.

Hot on the heels of the successful home kit launch, new technical suppliers adidas have created an away kit with echoes of the change strips worn in the 1980s, one of the most glorious periods in the Club's history.

The home shirt features a white design with sky blue pinstripes and claret trim, with sky shorts and socks, and features adidas performance fabrics ClimaCool and ClimaLite technology, a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the skin and in key heat zones.

One of the legends who wore those colours back in the 1980s was George Parris and he is thrilled to see the Hammers sport them again.

He said: "It was quite a time to be a West Ham player. '86 was a great year for the Club and coming third was a great achievement.

"The new kit is very smart. It's a lovely kit, it fits well and I'm sure the first team will appreciate it."

Those thoughts were echoed by present day first team skipper Kevin Nolan.

He added: "I'm delighted with it, it's really nice. The gear is top notch, they've done a good job and both the home and away kits look superb.

"The kit has gone on to a new level, the colours and everything. It looks quality and I'm sure the fans will be delighted."

Nice...but just looks like any of adidas' efforts without the three stripes.
