South Korea World Cup 2014 Nike Home Football Kit

This is the new South Korea Home football kit, by Nike, to be worn in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil this summer.

Unveiled at Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, the shirt - confirming earlier leaks - is red with blue panels at the top of each sleeve representing the "Taegeuk" yin and yang symbol found on the South Korean flag.  The distinctive collar is also based on traditional Korean tailoring.

The kit has been launched with blue shorts - in a more tailored and slimmer fitting style than usual - and red socks, but it remains to be seen if this combination will be what the Koreans take to the field in come Brasil 2014.

In the players' shirts, Nike Dri-FIT technology, “burnout” mesh and laser-cut ventilation holes are used for purposes of body temperature regulation, keeping the players dry and wicking sweat.

The whole kit includes fabric made from recycled plastic bottles and the shorts are made entirely from recycled polyester (96% in the shirt and 78% in the socks).

Pretty poor effort from Nike, South Korea normally get some good designs as a rule.
Just wish Nike would give this recycling plastic bottles a rest; how about some innovation instead.
