Ajax of Amsterdam have recently unveiled their new Home shirt and kit, by adidas, for the 2015-16 season.

In keeping with the traditional and world famous Ajax look, the shirt is white with a simple red panel/stripe running vertically down the centre of the front, housing the badges and sponsor's logo.

The collar is an understated roundneck number, and the only true deviation from the discreet and classic is the use of the Amsterdam flag on the underside of the cuffs. When upturned, the cuffs - particularly the left, as it incorporates the recognisable white Andreas crosses - suggest captains' armbands, in a fascinating departure from the norm.

In comparison, the shorts and socks are very simple, in the familiar white with red.
