Athletic Club de Bilbao's earliest kits featured a shirt with blue and white halves. This season the club, which was founded in 1898, will wear a new away kit that pays tribute to this design and the club's origins.

The 2015-16 away kit includes a two-tone — black and dark grey — shirt. Inverse shoulders and red trim on the collar and cuffs augment the design.

Additionally, the shirt's back neck features a small Ikurriña, Basque flag. This detail reflects Athletic Club de Bilbao’s roots and unique cultural identity. The new away socks are red with a black band at the top and a tonal stripe of chevrons on the calf.

Greg thinks one black and one grey sock would look better (bit like the Galatasaray home kit).

Interesting colour scheme. Other than that, I'm sure I've seen something very similar before.....

Same old sh1t from Nike. About time them and Adidas employed some new design ideas.
