The Timbers new home kit is a modern yet classic kit featuring a revised green and gold colorway inspired by elements of the club’s NASL jerseys of the 1970s. Highlighted by a deeper Ponderosa green with Ravens Gold accents, the kit is made of a new engineered flannel material that creates the checkered look and feel.
The jersey also includes a number of symbolic details that celebrate the city and the club’s soccer heritage. These include: the Portland city flag jocktag, the Stand Together axes on the back neck, and the iconic line from the Timbers Army “Party in Portland” chant “There’s a party in Portland, No one is sleeping tonight” on the neck tape.
It is also the first year the authentic kit features the silver star above the crest, honoring the Timbers’ 2015 MLS Cup Championship. The new crest style is lighter, more flexible and vibrant. The clean, history-inspired new primary honors both the past and present, while retaining the cutting-edge adidas performance fabrics of today.
