2019 sees Fulham FC celebrate its 140 Year Anniversary since their foundation in 1879.
With a long and colourful history, Fulham FC is rightly positioned as London’s original football club. To mark the start of 2019 and year of the 140th anniversary, the Club is launching a special edition Anniversary Shirt which will be worn by the First Team in one of the Club’s pre-season fixtures this year.
Fulham St. Andrew’s Church, located on Greyhound Road about a mile from Craven Cottage, is where it all began 140 years ago when Revd. John Henry Cardwell set up a Sunday school team. Fulham St. Andrew’s, which became Fulham Football Club a decade later, played their very first matches on a section of land on Star Road, very close to the church.
This limited-edition 140 Years Anniversary Shirt pays tribute to the club's rich history. A twist on the design of the Club’s first-ever strip, the shirt features Fulham FC’s famous white and black colours which were introduced for the first time in 1889.
Only a limited number – 1,879 shirts – have been produced, each individually numbered and certificated to mark their exclusivity.
