Kit supplier O’Neills have, in the last few days, released a limited edition half-and-half Partick Thistle shirt.
The new design for the Scottish third tier side combines the 2020-21 Home and Away shirts, thus featuring the club’s famous red and yellow as well as the alternative monochrome stylings.
The latter informs the crest, despite the injection of colour - which creeps onto the dark side via the neck - perhaps sanctioning a full-colour club badge, and the sponsor appears partially in black and partially grey.
Whilst there is no suggestion that the shirt will ever be worn, the existence of the item - limited to 100 units - begs speculation of what shorts and socks would be called upon. Most fitting would surely be the black Home shorts which have red and yellow trim, and perhaps one of each of the doppelganger Home and Away socks.
