Japanese J-League side Yokohama F Marinos have launched a special edition Home shirt, by adidas, which will be worn in games immediately after the return to football has commenced.
Rather than the standard Condivo 20-style shirt which is ubiquitous this year, this style carries a striped, sectioned and angular sublimated pattern in royal blue on the navy base. This pattern has appeared on large amounts of adidas football apparel, as well as the Colombia Home shirt, but is claimed by F Marinos to be a reference to brick warehouses in Yokohama - a symbol of the industrial city.
Trim on this “Aeroready” technology release, including adidas’s three stripes, appears on the shirt in gold, along with the adidas chest logo. The crest is in full colour, as are the logos of the sponsors - Nissan, Mugen Estate and Owltech, amongst others - and there is a tricolour umbrella seal - a “Toripara” - celebrating the identity of the famous club.
