D.C. United revealed its 2015 away kit. With MLS implementing new adidas uniforms in one-year cycles, the Black-and-Red will begin using its new stripes in its season home opener on March 7 against the Montreal Impact.
While the historic stripes remain intact, the mostly white jersey introduces a couple new features. The all-new jersey is the lightest ever made from adidas' adizero fabric and is also the first to include a linticular crest.
One of the features is hidden inside the neck tape, there you'll find the words: “VAMOS UNITED ESTA NOCHE TENEMOS QUE GANAR.". This supporter-inspired encouragement serves as a reminder to the players each time they proudly sport the kit.
DCU's secondary logo, the outline of Talon, is visible on the back of the neck. The team’s 19-year tenure is recognized and celebrated inside the jersey. Behind the crest, a new logo marks the 20th season and the fact that, in 1996, United was one of the founding MLS clubs.
