Everton unveiled their new home kit by Umbro for the 2019-20 season – with a bold new design twist inspired by one of Goodison’s most iconic features.
The distinctive criss-crossed steelwork from the upper tier of the Bullens Road stand, the work of legendary stadium architect Archibald Leitch, has been used as the influence for a modern graphic that appears prominently on the chest of the new royal blue home jersey.
The 2019-20 kit – which will be worn for the first time when the Blues face Kariobangi Sharks in the SportPesa Trophy in Nairobi, Kenya this Sunday - utilises the same design influence on the sleeve cuffs and along the stylised crew neckline of the shirt. An EFC logo similar to what was used for the 1991-93 home shirt is also in place on the back of the neck.
White shorts and socks with a royal blue turn over complete the new strip, which also benefits from new manufacturing techniques and material.
