This is the special edition Fritz Walter FC Kaiserslautern 2020 shirt.
The Nike shirt, worn this week in the German 3. Liga match against Hansa Rostock, has a simple red base but honours club and country legend Fritz Walter by way of the retro-minded vertical striping underlaying the crest, and an embossed rendering of Walter’s face lower down.
In addition, there is Walter’s motto on the aforementioned heat transfer stripe - translating as “The key to success is camaraderie and the will to give everything for each other” - and detailing referencing both what would be Walter’s hundredth birthday and that of the home stadium which now bears his name.
