Brazilian side Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas recently revealed a 2021 anti-racism shirt.
Sported in last weekend’s defeat of Brasil de Pelotas, the new design by Kappa features Botafogo’s famous black stripes acting as bars on a bar chart.
Contrasting with the white, this graphic refers to statistical figures relating to the black community, and Centrum - its full-colour branding in the main sponsor position - has joined up with Botafogo with the “Racismo: o vírus da desigualdade estrutural” (Racism: the virus of structural inequality) campaign.
The “Dia da Consciência Negra” (Black Awareness Day) release was worn with white shorts and socks.
