The Costa Rican Football Federation - Federación Costarricense de Fútbol - has unveiled a special commemorative shirt for the national team to celebrate its centenary.
The limited edition New Balance design is in a deep blue to replicate the version worn in Costa Rica’s first matches in 1921.
The 2021 release also boasts a “blue-out” effect with the “NB” logo barely visible and the crest tonal and understated.
Incorporating “NB Dry” technology, partly manufactured with recycled materials, and sporting a neat stylised collar and cuffs, the shirt is being worn - complete with white shorts and red socks - as part of a kit in a handful of matches.
