This is the new Home shirt for Argentine side Club Atlético Independiente.
The 2021-22 Puma design features a red trunk with white sleeves in one of the German manufacturer’s recent templates.
The crest is rendered in a basic, contrast-white-outline form, and is encircled by 18 stars - each representing an international title - while the Puma cat logos and other partner wordmarks also stand out.
While the bespoke detail on the upper back - “Siempre Luchamos Unidos”, meaning “We Always Fight United” - and the shadow pattern are distinctive, the trim on the sides of the trunk brings to mind the Arsenal FC 2002-04 shirt, which is an image not entirely erased by the kit being completed with white shorts and red socks.
