When Leeds got Adidas as kit supplier I thought great , so far massive let down . Last year home looked like a tee shirt ,this season marginally better . This could be Cardiff Leicester or even Ipswich from previous seasons . The print on the front proves it's an Adidas teamwear kit and only their elite clubs don't get block backs generally speaking . I know last seasons away kit didn't .

Why does this shirt need to have a block colour back, as opposed to having the pattern continue all the way around the shirt?

How does having marginally different shades of blue affect the visibility of white numbers in any way? You can read the sponsor text just fine on the front for instance... Furthermore why would this shirt be regulated as needing to have a block colour on the reverse when last season's green and navy shirt had stripes on the back, and this year's goalkeeper shirt has a similar pattern that does continue onto the back? This makes me think that the block colour on the back is not a premier league regulation at all and is just a manufacturing choice. It really does cheapen the shirt imo.

Adidas have given man united a blue and white patterned shirt this year and the pattern goes all the way around the shirt.

does anyone know what the actual kit rules are for the premier league and why some shirts have the block back and others don't with seemingly no consistency?

Wow you could write a book on it .
Tbh the front should be same as the back

It's just kit designers come up with **** designs with patterns on the front and plain in the back. It's worse for teams who play in stripes and Adidas and Nike put no stripes on the back of shirts
