German Bundesliga side 1. FSV Mainz 05 have revealed their 2021-22 Home shirt
The new design by Kappa has, in effect, a stylised chequerboard effect which nods to the version worn in 1996-97, doubling up as a “M” (for “Mainz”) motif pattern.
The patterning stops at the limit of the plain red raglan sleeves which match the back and have contrast white “Omini” logos - Kappa’s emblem is in black on the chest - and the club crest and sponsorship branding are in full colour.
Worn with white shorts and red socks to complete the kit, the shirt also features a Mainz city coat of arms detail on the upper back and minimal gold trim to pay tribute to the Golden City on the Rhine.
