FC Schalke 04 and kit supplier Umbro revealed their new 21/22 third kit.
In the year 1904, a group of students founded a new club in the shadow of the Consolidation colliery.
The name: Westfalia Schalke, the colours: red and yellow. The new third kit for the 2021/22 season looks back to the time of the club’s founding, with a red base and yellow accents on the sleeve cuffs.
The fit and materials of the shirt make for a comfortable wearer’s experience. On the left breast, there is, as ever, the club badge, in the colours we have worn since 1912: royal blue and white.
The jersey is one that can be worn in many relaxed environments. It is made from a structured material in a mottled dark red, with a faux-buttoned collar on the front, along with an embroidered Umbro logo opposite the club badge and a label of authenticity on the bottom of the shirt’s side. The slogan of the shirt has been applied on the back of the neck: “In unseren Farben von 1904” (In our original colours from 1904) is visible in yellow.
The kit is completed by dark-red shorts featuring a yellow accent on the side panel. In the early days of the club, it is known that the goalkeeper wore a hooped shirt, and with the socks of this kit we honour that history, with yellow hoops accenting the dark-red socks.
