Retro football-wear brand Copa have released an (AC) Milan-styled football shirt in collaboration with cult football magazine Mundial.
The red and black striped shirt very obviously nods to the golden era of Arrigo Saachi and Fabio Capello, and very specifically Capello’s glorious 1992-93 domestic season.
While the Copa chest logo replaces the iconic adidas Trefoil, the stitched Scudetto patch is present and correct and topped with the golden star celebrating the Rossinerri’s twelve titles prior to the campaign being honoured here.
The “Mundial” print is rendered in a similar type to sponsor Motta and the right sleeve features a further - slightly anachronistic - retro-styled patch. There is also, finally, a faithful print of the number 9 on the reverse - a number shared by legendary joint top scorers Jean-Pierre Papin and Marco van Basten in 92-93.
