MSwalk.co.uk is running an auction on the following site: mswalk.co.uk to raise money for an event they organising in the summer.

7 people (The MS-NIFISCENT 7) all with varying degrees of MS will go from Edinburgh to London in one month. To raise money I've approached every club in the country for signed merchandise to auction online.

Exeter City started the ball rolling by providing a Exeter City Shirt 2006/2007 by all the players and Steve Perryman, thanks to Andy Gillard. Since then they have acquired over 50 items which we are currently uploading, so bear with them.

This is a ground breaking event that we are attempting and it's led by a Grecian dude, so please support them. The items listed below have all been kindly donated to the MS Walk auction by members of the football premiership.

It is for a very good cause and there is a Limited edition print of the Stadium of Light signed by Niall Quinn, a high quality leather ball signed by 16 members of the 1st team squad and many, many signed football shirts.

They have placed auction lots in given categories to aid navigation. The lots include many signed shirts, balls and other football merchandise from clubs across the country who have kindly donated items for this auction. In addition there is a weekend motoring holiday in Scotland and many other items which are open to bids.

We are inviting offers on the listed items for which there will be a cut off date of the 17th June at 1159pm. The highest bidder for each item will be notified by email or telephone that they have been successful, and upon MS Walk receiving payment their goods will be despatched by Royal Mail recorded delivery

Were will you be in July 2007?

Seven people the MS-nificent 7, all of whom suffer from varying degrees of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) will attempt to walk, push or electrically propel themselves by wheelchair etc from Edinburgh to London in 1 month.

Their mission, aside of completing the walk, will be to hand a "Message in a Bottle" to 10 Downing Street highlighting the needs and lack of support for Multiple Sclerosis sufferers and the importance of increased funding for MS in such areas as stem cell therapy, safeguarding the interests of future sufferers.

The walk will commence on the 16th July 2007 from Edinburgh, 10 years to the day that James Coke, one of the walkers was diagnosed with MS. It will end on the 16th August 2007 outside Downing Street, London when a symbolic "Message in a bottle" will be delivered by the MS-nificent 7 to the Prime Minister.

The aim of the Edinburgh to London walk is to raise in excess of £250,000 for research into finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

As a team we have agreed to donate the money we raise to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

For each pound that you donate, the Government will provide a tax bonus of 28%, meaning if we hit our target we’re raise a staggering £320,000

If you would like to find out more about the MS-nificent 7 walk from Edinburgh to London, if you would like to take part or help out, or if you would like to consider helping out with sponsorship, we would love to here from you.

All profit from this project will be going to the MS Society to help fund future reseach and to help those whose lives are affected with multiple sclerosis.
