"Club Brugge is an established success story in Belgian football enjoying national and international appeal," says Sander van Gelder, General Manager of PUMA Benelux. "We are proud to be partnering with the club and to renew the historic ties between PUMA and Club Brugge. The partnership is an important cornerstone as part of the company strategy to further expand the growth in the football business following the unparallelled success in calendar year 2006."
"PUMA is a top brand enjoying a quality reputation in the world of football" says Michel D'Hooghe, President of Club Brugge. "PUMA’s performance product expertise and creativity were decisive factors that appealed to Club Brugge. We are positive that the club players, officials and fans, will be excited about the new product designs for the upcoming 2007/2008 season to be revealed later this year".
Through the years Club Brugge has won twelve Belgian League titles, nine Belgian Cups and is currently 4th in the Jupiler League, Belgium's first division.
