Colchester United will be pushing for promotion in style next season, after signing a four year deal with Puma. The Technical Kit Partnership will see Puma supply the U's match, training and youth team kit as the U's look for an instant return to the Championship as they embark on a new chapter at the new Community Stadium.

Richard Callaway, Head of Sport for Puma UK, told the official website: "This is an exciting opportunity for us and will provide great exposure for Puma in and around Essex.

"We are delighted to be the Technical Kit Sponsor for Colchester United and are looking forward to working with the club and its fans over the next four seasons.

"With great kit and excellent service, we're sure our partnership will be a successful one."

Genesis Group International Ltd is the Exclusive Licensee for Puma Teamsports (UK and Ireland). and John Howarth, Genesis Sales Director added: "We're delighted to announce the PumaTechnical Kit Partnership with Colchester United. "The sponsorship marks an exciting time ahead for everyone at the U's especially with the new stadium opening for next season.

"We are confident that the fans will love the quality of product and feel sure that the new Home and Away Kits will be well received".

The U's will turn out in a yellow away kit from next season, as the Essex side return to the colours that proved so popular during their previous promotion season in 2005/6. The 'Yellow Army' of U's fans followed their side around the country as they gained promotion from League One and it is hoped that they will see similar success this time around.

U's Chief Executive Marie Partner said: "We are delighted about our association with Puma."

"Their business has always been renowned for its quality of sportswear as it's worn by some of the top sporting teams in the world."

"With a continued passion for delivering new ideas in an industry that is fast evolving we know that Puma's ambitions will match our own to succeed."

And boss Geraint Williams is looking forward to donning the new kit next season: "We're delighted to be with a company with the reputation such as Puma.

"It is important to walk onto the field feeling good and this kit will play its part. I am sure it will prove popular with both our players and fans alike."
