Kilmarnock verve

Kilmarnock's biggest motor dealer group, Verve, has been announced as Kilmarnock FC's main shirt sponsor.

The Verve logo will be worn on the shirts and appear around the stadium and on match-day programmes starting with 2010 - 2011 season. Pictured above with the new Kilmarnock HOME top for the upcoming season are Steven White (Verve Service Manager), Chairman Michael Johnston, Liam Lamont (Sales Manager, Kilmarnock Mazda) and Commercial Manager Anne Clark.

The new home strip will be officially launched at the "Killie Festival" open day at Rugby Park on Sunday 8th August.

Formerly Bickets of Kilmarnock, Verve is also proud of it's heritage having been founded in 1999 and rapidly grown to be one of the biggest and certainly the most progressive motor dealer group in Scotland, with Fiat, Seat, Volvo, Chrysler, Jeep, Mazda, Hyundai, SsangYong and Dodge showrooms centrally located in the town.

Says Verve's founder and MD, Charlie Adair, " We areabsolutely delighted to be so closely associated with Kilmarnock FCand to become the club's proud sponsors for the new season means something very special to us. As we have expanded throughout Scotland over the last decade or so, we have always taken our responsibilities very seriously - from providing secure employment for many local people to contributing to the local community - Verve has always given more back than it gets. And becoming proud sponsors of Kilmarnock FC is just another example of supporting the people and the community in which we live and work."

Kilmarnock FC Chairman Michael Johnston welcomed Verve: "Everyone at Kilmarnock FC is delighted to have secured a sponsorship partner with such strong commitment to the local economy. The opportunities for joint marketing initiatives are enormous and we look forward to a close working relationship with Charlie and his team at Verve. This partnership underlines the value of sponsoring Scotland's oldest professional football team and the only SPL club in south-west Scotland."

Verve, the definition of which means "spirit, vigour and enthusiasm", together with Kilmarnock Football Club, make a great team and both can hopefully look forward to a mutually happy and successful new season.

The style of the sponsor will change before the shirt goes on sale. Probably to blue writing on a white box.

could be better, could be worse. the sponsor looks like something off a sunday league team. Overall not a bad wee top.

As a faithful supporter..
I am going to be honest... I think the top looks cheap... we have had better in the past.
Shame that the sponsor doesn't stand out very well.
Maybe should put a blue box round the sponsor name :-)
But I do like the writing in gold.
Only other thing is with the badge in the middle... do men know that this is very uncomfortable for women to wear?? as it does rub.. ;-)
Could have been a little but more thought through on the design me thinks....

This isn't the finished article.. There's going to be a white box right across the front to accommodate the sponsor..

As a (beleagured) Hibs fan I take a moderate interest in the SPL, but why did Killie get rid of Lotto? Fair enough they were generic designs but they were better than their own brand designs, not meaning any offence but this new jersey looks cheap.
