According to the Times Online, West Ham United are close to a new sponsorship deal with betting company SBOBet.
SBOBET is Asia’s leading online Sportbook and has a license by the Philippines Authorities to operate as an international sports bookmaker.
West Ham had intended to bear the name of the Bobby Moore Fund, a cancer charity, but were denied permission by the FA.
The deal with SBOBet is said to be worth around £1.9m, over the course of 18 months. The deal with XL ended just a year into a three-year-deal, worth around £3m.
Any announcement from the club is expected to appear within the next week.
