Wales 1986 player shirt by Adidas believed to have match worn by Slatter in the Euro '88 Qualification Group 6 match against Finland played at the Olympic Stadium, Helsinki on the 10th September 1986.
Wales kicked off their qualifying campaign here with a hard-fought point in Scandanavia. Hjelm gave the hosts a first half lead before Slatter himself, on as a substitute scored his one and only international goal to get The Dragons and equaliser and a draw on the night. Slatter had become Wales' youngest ever player when he made his debut back in '83 but his career was sadly cut short and he was forced to retire through injury in '91 at the age of only 27. Wales only wore this classic Adidas design once more and when the sides met again in April '87 they were in Hummel.
