Adidas has released a new "Gunmetal" edition of the Predator Mania as part of the Made in Germany series, returning one of the most recognisable football boots in football culture. The firm ground model reintroduces features associated with the 2002 original while integrating updated construction for the 2025 season.
The reboot presents the familiar Gunmetal upper with its layered texture and stitched forefoot sections. The fold over tongue is produced in Pure Ruby red leather and carries an embroidered adidas marking on each side. Beneath the tongue, the forefoot displays the rubber elements that defined the original Predator series, arranged in the same placement pattern seen in the early 2000s release. The Three Stripes sit on the lateral side in a metallic silver finish, and the words Made in Germany are printed on the insole of each boot.
The soleplate has been modernised and now uses the current adidas tooling for firm ground pitches. The stud layout is shaped for rotational movement and acceleration, and the plate carries a polished silver appearance that continues the Gunmetal theme across the base of the boot.
Inside the football boot, a black lining runs from heel to toe with classic Predator branding printed along the footbed. The overall shape retains the low profile and streamlined fit associated with the Mania series. The Predator Mania Gunmetal release forms part of a wider programme that revisits key silhouettes from the adidas archive while pairing them with contemporary performance technology.
