Nike has launched the Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite Kylian Mbappé football boots in the Plum Eclipse and Metallic Silver colourway, introducing the latest signature edition in the Mercurial range.
The Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite features a deep plum toned Flyknit upper with integrated Nike Gripknit technology across the forefoot. The textured Gripknit surface is engineered to enhance ball contact in both wet and dry conditions, supporting close control at high speed. A metallic silver Swoosh with a green outline appears on the lateral side, while the heel area carries Mbappé specific detailing and Zoom Air branding.
An updated 3/4 length Air Zoom unit is embedded within the soleplate, developed to deliver increased energy return and propulsion. The redesigned wave inspired traction pattern works in combination with the Air Zoom cushioning, covering a greater surface area than the previous Vapor 15 model. Chevron and blade studs are positioned to assist rapid acceleration, sharp directional changes and controlled stops.
The soleplate is finished in a translucent brown tone with green stud tips and visible Air Zoom graphics beneath the forefoot. Inside, custom Kylian Mbappé insole branding completes the signature presentation. The Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite Kylian Mbappé boots are designed for firm ground use and form part of Nike’s high performance football boots line up for elite level play.
