Reebok Valde Pro Football Boots

Our friends over at footy-boots revealed the thinking behind Reebok’s new Valde Pro football boot and show you some of the technical background which the company has released exclusively to the Footy-boots website.

Reebok has come up with the Valde, a revolutionary football boot with market first technology. The Reebok Valde has a rigid Power Unit (a carbon fibre insert) in the outsole and additional upper technology.

By improving the rigidity of both the upper and the outsole of the football boots, so that they flex in one direction only, thus reducing the loss of power, the player should be able to strike the ball more cleanly and with a great deal more force.

Reebok may not splash as much cash as the real big boys in the football boot market and they seem content with having just a few select players on their books to endorse their products.

And with Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, Barcelona’s Thierry Henry and Ryan Giggs of Manchester United as their ‘big three’ they don’t do too badly for publicity.

The Reebok Valde Pro, in both hard ground and soft ground configurations and in a striking red, yellow, black and white colourway will be available from 8th December and will retail at £99.99.

Perhaps the reason it looks like a Predator template is that Craig Johnstone went to Reebok (I\'m assuming he\'s still with them)
