The 1982 FIFA World Cup, the 12th staging of the World Cup, was held in Spain from June 13 to July 11. Spain was chosen as hosts by FIFA in July 1966. This World Cup was won by Italy, who beat West Germany 3-1 in the final. With its third World Cup title (after 1934 and 1938), Italy drew level with Brazil. This World Cup was marked by a series of great matches and is widely regarded as the second-best ever after the legendary 1970 tournament. This was also the first World Cup to feature 24 teams, an expansion from at most 16 in the previous tournaments.

I have a complete Admiral -kit of the 1982 Belgium National team. Including shorts and socks. It has long sleeves (ultra rare) and with nr. 11 (Jan Ceulemans) on the back of the shirt and the front of the trousers. I think it is a matchprepared outfit for Ceulemans.
The size is 104-109 cm for the shirt; 91-97 cm for the short and the socks are a size 42-44. Does anyone know what a complete kit like this, is valued at?

    I must do a correction:
in 1982 Italy kit was Le Coq, but in 1978 and 1974 was Adidas but logos or Adi trims was prohibited by italian laws until 1999. 1st time a logo appear in Italy shirt was in the late 99, match Danmark-Italy.

Italy kit in 78 and 82 was Le Coq Sportif.

I hate new Puma shirts for national teams: all standard. it is a shame and it is not a good choise for Puma. World champion team worth a kit different from all the others.

In fact the Kuwaiti team\'s home shirt is the blue one not the red as stated above while the red shirt is actually the away kit.

Hi Alfredo, and hi all..precisely Italian federation allows Kappa to put the badge on the shirt in 1999,first in the history. Then in 2000 and in 2002 kappa badge did not appear on the front of the shirt but only on the shoulders.I liked very much this solution,I must admit that I miss the pure azzurra shirt of Italy, without kit supplier badge.
Then puma arrived and posted 3 pumas on the shirt.
In 2006 Italy has been the only Puma national kit without the 2 pumas near the collar on the shoulders, only one was there, the other was on the arm.
In the new shirt, also Italy has been allined to the other teams kit template.

I m also very angry because of the presence of only 4 kit suppliers in Euro 2008: Nike,Adidas,Puma,Umbro.

I was just wondering if anyone knows why the 1986 Topper Brazil shirt has the little round white circle with the green leaves on the crest when the actual Topper shirt they wore at the world cup dosent have this. It was on actual the 1982 world cup shirt.

I was given this shirt 16 years ago signed by Junior with his number six on the back. I always thought it was match worn.

In Brazil Topper has still the same symbol!!! in Argentina they changed that in late 90\'s. Topper is a very good brand, in both countries, and the shirts are really nice (Cruzeiro, Corinthians, Velez, Independiente, etc)

Two comments about the Brazilian 1982 jersey.

If you look real close at the Brazilian emblem, there is a white circle with some sort of symbol (green leaves, red fruit) in front of the Jules Rimet trophy. That was hidden publicity by \"Caf?

In Italy there was a law (up to the mid-80) which is not allowed to display advertising logos on the shirts. forClaudio: have you ever purchased retro soccer shirt from Thailand? I have several including ones of England. they are cheap but beautiful.

I remember seeing the Le Coq Sportif logo on the Italy warm up jackets, so I am guessing their logo-less shirts were made by the same. The material of the kits today may be more comfortable but the designs are terrible. The new Germany kits are awful. I hope Puma does some justice to their champion side when it comes out in February. The white kits worn by Italy against Scotland did not do much for me.
