Admiral and New York Cosmos have released a new 50th Anniversary Collection, marking half a century since Pelé’s arrival in 1975 and the beginning of the club’s global impact.
The capsule brings back several classic designs from the late seventies period, with Admiral working again alongside the Cosmos to recreate core items from the team’s historic wardrobe. Central to the collection is a modern remake of the New York Cosmos 1975 away jersey, featuring a white base, green number ten detail, and the original Cosmos crest on the left chest. The shirt also carries green and yellow trim around the collar and sleeves, echoing the club colours worn throughout that era.
Additional items in the range include a 1977 style training shirt in white with green and yellow collar stripes and the number ten on the chest, a graphic fan shirt with COSMOS wording across the front, and a green supporter shirt based on the club’s traditional home colour. The drop also features a tape track top and matching tape pants in dark green with yellow side strips and embroidered crest detailing.
The collection was photographed on Randalls Island in New York, the location of Pelé’s Cosmos debut in 1975, connecting the new release directly with one of the most significant moments in the club’s history. The anniversary range celebrates the contribution of players such as Pelé, Franz Beckenbauer, Carlos Alberto and Giorgio Chinaglia, honouring a team that helped shape US soccer culture.
