Coventry City and Admiral have released a limited edition anniversary collection marking 50 years since the introduction of the club’s hourglass shirt first worn in 1975.
The centrepiece of the range is the Coventry City 50th Anniversary Shirt, produced as a faithful replica of the original Admiral kit that played a defining role in the club’s kit history. The Coventry City football shirt revisits the distinctive layout that became synonymous with the Sky Blues during the mid 1970s and remains closely associated with players from that era, including Tommy Hutchinson.
Issued as a numbered collector release, the anniversary shirt is limited to 1975 units to reflect the year of the original design. Each shirt is presented in a dedicated presentation box that includes background information on the kit and its place in Coventry City history. Every example is sequentially numbered, reinforcing its limited edition status.
Alongside the commemorative shirt, Coventry City have also launched a broader anniversary range inspired by the same visual language. This includes a retro track top and matching joggers, a short sleeve t-shirt and a lightweight rain jacket, all finished in coordinated colours that align with the anniversary theme.
