Rains x Umbro 2025 Capsule Collection

Rains x Umbro 2025 Capsule Collection

Rains and Umbro have presented the 2025 Capsule Collection, titled APPLY PRESSURE, which reinterprets classic football garments through a modern minimalist lens. The collection launches on 24 September and combines Rains’ functional waterproof design approach with Umbro’s long history in football tailoring.

The release introduces a range of apparel, footwear and accessories, anchored by four central pieces. The Drill Top features a lightweight construction with adjustable drawcords and subtle piping details. The Apollo Cape offers full weather protection in a loose silhouette with hood and wide coverage. The Manager Coat delivers a longer cut for outerwear versatility, while the Fan Puffer comes in a padded design for colder conditions.

Footwear also takes centre stage with the Rains x Umbro Sneaker, inspired by the Umbro Fusion. It arrives with a low-profile shape, visible exterior stitching and serves as the first sneaker Rains has developed in collaboration with a major sportswear brand.

The colour palette spans deep navy, black, cream and burgundy, seen across waterproof trousers, tops and bags. Materials include Rains’ signature PU fabric with a textured surface referencing football pitches, as well as lightweight UV-protective fabrics for layering pieces. Accessories such as cross-body bags and holdalls complement the core looks.

This capsule draws on Umbro’s iconic Drill Shirt of the past, a garment that bridged football terraces and everyday culture, now reshaped with Rains’ understated design ethos. Together the brands deliver a collection that merges heritage with contemporary function.
